Our Mission Statement:

We would bring glory to God by being committed and unified in prayer to unleash God's awesome power to reach the lost, impact this world for Christ, and advance God's Kingdom.

WOMEN’S PRAYER GROUP

We will be meeting every Sunday morning, beginning Nov. 6th, between 8:30—9:30 in the Prayer Room.  All women and teens are welcome.

We will utilize the ACTS format (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication) not necessarily in that order.  Individuals who wish to learn to pray may do so by watching the example of others in the group.

You're Invited!

Prayer Task Force

What is it? It’s the group of committed believers who gather together for the sole purpose of coordinating all the prayer efforts of our church. The mission statement for the Prayer Task Force is: “We seek to bring glory to God by being committed and unified in prayer to unleash His awesome power to reach the lost, impact this world for Christ, and advance God’s Kingdom.

With that said, the Prayer Task Force is a unique and very important ministry. If you desire to be part of this ministry, the following standard/criteria was established for person/s desiring to be part of the Prayer Task Force:

1.) Faithfully attend all worship services.

2.) Faithfully attend Wednesday night prayer.

(I understand there will be extenuating circumstances where you are not able to attend. However, missing Sunday worship, and Wednesday night prayer, should be the exception, and not the rule.)

3.) Have a personal Quite Time with the Lord.

4.) Not be a recent convert.

 5.) Faithfully tithe.

6.) Seek to be full of the Holy Spirit (Have no un-confessed sin in your life).

 7.) Seek to promote/keep unity (Eph.4:3).

These are just the basic requirements to be a leader on the Prayer Task Force.

Wednesday Night Worship/Prayer Service:

Join us in the Sanctuary on Wednesday's from 7-8 p.m. During this time, we will have worship and prayer time.

Cord of Three:

Prayer ministry based on Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

9)Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10)For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.(11) Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?(12) Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

What is it?  Three people get together once a week to pray for 15 minutes.  This is at a place and time of their own choosing.  You can form your own group, or if you want to be a part of one and don't know who to contact, please speak to the Pastor and he will help you form a group, or get plugged into one.

If you would like to form a group, please see Pastor Jeff.

Pastor's Note on this prayer ministry

Prayer Room:

There is a prayer room that is located behind the sanctuary. The room offers comfortable seating, the option to play some praise music, some books and material on prayer, and notebooks that inform of the prayer opportunities being focused on in our church at any given time.

Many of you may live a distance away in other towns or have busy schedules which make it inconvenient for you to come all the way to the church to pray and we understand that.  But, if you do happen to be at the church for some other reason, take a moment to check the prayer room out.  It’s another alternative that might at times be helpful in your prayer life.  If you’d like, Paul or Howard would be excited to meet personally with you and show you the prayer room -- just see them at your convenience.

Any questions regarding the prayer room, please see Howard Weldon or Paul Baker.

 Prayer Chain Network:

This is another vital part of our church ministry. By being faithful in doing our part as members of His body, this prayer chain seeks to insure God's continued presence in the lives and needs of those we hold dear before Him.

Do You Need Prayer?
Does someone you love need prayer?

At the present time FBCT has 4 prayer chains in operation all the time, day and night. This is an intercessory prayer chain and it is kept confidential.

If you have a concern or know someone who could use extra prayer at a critical time, call in your request to 944-1273 and Pat Grundman will send your prayers out to all 4 prayer chains.

The Bible tells us to “pray for one another”. That’s just what we do!
