Sunday School and Bible Study Groups

One of the best ways to meet people, grow spiritually, and get involved in the life of the church is to join a  class. Sunday School is about the study of God's Word and the fellowship of God's people. Here at FBC Tolland, we offer multiple opportunities for members and guests to gather together and celebrate the joy of Christ.

Our groups are open to anyone who wishes to attend. You don't have to join the church or know about the Bible to visit. We will not ask you personal questions or ask you to do anything that would possibly embarrass you. We do welcome you to join in discussion, if you desire, even on your first visit.

Come to a class this week!

You are invited to join us at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday (note: every first Sunday of the month at 8 a.m., you can join us for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall prior to going to the studies!)

In addition, be sure to check out the Daily Devotional page to help you get started on your daily quiet time with the Lord.

If you have further questions, please contact us or visit the FAQ page on this site.

Special Notice: Sunday School will break for the summer!  Our last scheduled day of classes will be a consolidated class on Sunday, June 27th.  We will resume on Sunday, September 5th.  During this break we will be busy planning for the upcoming school year.

Below is the various classes we had last year.  Stay tuned for what ahead in September!!

Sunday Morning Groups

9:30 a.m.

Adults:

1) Howard Weldon is holding a hands-on study of 1st Thessalonians using the method (although not with the degree of detail of a personal study) presented during the Spiritual Discipline Weekend.  Homework not required but encouraged.  All interested are invited to join us in the choir room behind the sanctuary.

2) Sunday, March 14, Drew Crandall will continue his ongoing adult Sunday School series "WWF: Holy Spirit vs. Satan, How to Win Your Daily Spiritual Battle."  In January and February, he covered who the Holy Spirit and Satan are, the armor of God, and the fruit of the Spirit.   Beginning this Sunday, he'll dive into a 2-3 month exploration of the Gifts of the Spirit.

This class is open to all who choose to come, regardless of whether they have been in this series since it began.  Week by week, this series will open your eyes to the supernatural Spirit Who lives inside of you and Who wants to fill you and use you mightily for His Kingdom.  At the end of this series the class will take Spiritual Gift tests and evaluations to help you to discover or affirm which Gift(s) the Holy Spirit has chosen to give you.

The class will start promptly at 9:30 am in the sanctuary, with Power Point slides on the big screen and handouts.

3) Pastor Jeff is teaching: Life Lessons for all adults.

4) Theda Moore is teaching:  Life Ventures for retired adults.

5) Pastor Jeff is teaching: The book of Romans- meets every 1st, 2nd and 4th Sunday at 4:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
