Ministry Opportunities
Attention new and seasoned members! Are you wondering how you can serve the Lord? You now know that this is the Church that God has called you to and want to use your gifts and talents to further His work. You may be interested in one of the following ministry opportunities.
We currently have several positions open within our church, or being held by members who would like to step down. Information about these positions is located on the bulletin board in the foyer. If there is a position that you are interested in, please contact the either the Pastor, or any member of the Nominating Committee.
If you feel you meet the qualifications for a position, and are interested, please contact a member of the committee or the Pastor. All Committee Chairs must be a member of First Baptist Church of Tolland for a period of at least one (1) year.

Positions:
We need Teachers and Teacher Assistants in Children’s, College and Careers’, and Adult Departments. If you are a Church member and feel God is leading you to work in one of these areas, please see Theda Moore or Pastor Jeff.
Sunday School Teacher: 5th and 6th grade class
Public Relations (Currently handled by the Church Secretary)
Social Committee Chairperson
Vice Moderator
Historian
Sunday School Co-Teachers (needed for 1st & 2nd , and 4th & 5th grades)
Building & Grounds (currently being run by the Deacons)
Church Clerk (Sally Gorden would like to step down)
Finance Committee Chairperson (Sue Burns would like to step down)
Treasurer (Rolland Cote would like to step down)
Missions Director (Theda Moore will be stepping down starting in January, 2010)
Other Available Opportunities:
Childrens Worship Service helpers (contact Maritza Roman)
Choir Members (meets Thursday evenings from 6-7:15 for practice, contact Gloria Fernandez)
GROW/Outreach helpers (contact Pat Grundman)
Note from the Hospitality Chairperson:
The response to my question on volunteering to continue the Sunday Coffee Fellowship has been encouraging. If you are able to help by providing a snack to go with coffee and tea after the Sunday worship service, there is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the hallway.
